Somatic Diagnostics

Identity

Physiological Regulation Observation

Somatic Diagnostics observe bodily regulation, stress imprinting, and pre-conscious signals.

This node exists to surface physical thresholds and recovery patterns that precede conscious awareness.

Somatic Diagnostics do not diagnose illness or prescribe treatment. They observe regulation and dysregulation as system behavior.

Classification System

Diagnostic Instrument Suffixes

Diagnostics in CFIM360° are observational instruments. Each diagnostic declares how it must be interpreted through a functional suffix.

The suffix is not naming style. It is a constraint on interpretation.

A diagnostic must be read according to its suffix. Reading it outside that boundary produces error.

Scan

A snapshot observation of current system state.

Scans capture what is active now, without stimulation or pressure. They do not imply trend, direction, or outcome.

Test

An observation performed under a defined condition.

Tests introduce a controlled prompt or load and observe the system’s response. They do not evaluate success or failure.

Induction

A temporary state activation used to surface hidden dynamics.

Inductions intentionally evoke a condition, then observe emergence and decay. They do not attempt to sustain or optimize the induced state.

Window

A range-based observation of safe or stable operation.

Windows identify thresholds rather than targets. They describe limits, not goals.

Index

A composite observational indicator derived from multiple signals.

Indexes summarize patterns but do not rank or score. They are descriptive, not comparative.

Used sparingly.

Interpretation Constraints

Diagnostics in CFIM360° never use:

  • scores
  • grades
  • levels
  • rankings
  • profiles

Those convert observation into judgment. Judgment is outside the scope of diagnostics.

Cross-Node Behavior

Some diagnostic entities may appear across multiple nodes without a fixed suffix.

In such cases:

the node determines interpretation not the diagnostic name itself

Context governs behavior.

Somatic Regulation Window

Physiological Range Observation

The Somatic Regulation Window is a range-based observation of how the body regulates stress and recovers under normal conditions.

It exists to reveal the bounds within which the body remains regulated, and where regulation begins to degrade, without pushing or testing limits.

This diagnostic does not work with sensation as narrative. It observes regulation behavior.

What This Window Observes

The Somatic Regulation Window observes:

  • baseline bodily regulation range
  • threshold where regulation begins to degrade
  • capacity to remain regulated under mild load
  • recovery behavior after stress subsides
  • pre-conscious bodily signals preceding overload

The window observes ranges, not points.

What This Window Does Not Observe

The Somatic Regulation Window does not observe: medical condition or illness physical fitness or endurance pain interpretation trauma memory or meaning

emotional response to bodily signals

It does not pathologize the body. It observes regulatory capacity only.

Observation Posture

During observation:

  • the body is not pushed
  • effort is not increased
  • discomfort is not explored
  • signals are not interpreted

The observer notices limits and recovery, not sensation detail.

Output Nature

The window produces descriptive observations such as:

  • regulated within window
  • approaching regulation threshold
  • regulation exceeded
  • delayed recovery
  • indeterminate

These observations imply no action or recommendation.

Temporal Scope

The Somatic Regulation Window is:

  • range-based
  • non-progressive
  • non-comparative
  • non-optimizing

It does not train tolerance or capacity.

Relationship to Other Diagnostics

The Somatic Regulation Window:

  • follows the Inner Coherence Scan
  • may follow Cognitive or Emotional diagnostics
  • grounds higher-level observations in physiology
  • often precedes Machine or Coupled diagnostics

Boundary Conditions

This window never:

  • encourages pushing limits
  • promotes endurance building
  • replaces medical judgment
  • becomes competitive or comparative

If bodily limits are tested, observation exceeds scope.

Canonical Statement

The Somatic Regulation Window is complete when the boundaries of bodily regulation become visible without strain.

No action is required. No endurance is built.

The window closes with awareness, not effort.
